Did anybody else see this article about Speidi?

source
From the afore mentioned article on OMG!
They never actually broke up. (We basically already knew this, but now it's "official.") When asked if they'd ever split, this is how the two responded: "Spencer: 'No.' Heidi: 'No.' Spencer: 'Not for one minute.' Heidi: 'We've never even been apart.'"
They have no money. "We never had any!" Spencer told the Beast. They said they spent about $2 million on Heidi's failed music career. Additionally, they bought a whole lot of stuff they didn't need. "I probably spent a million dollars on suits and fancy clothes," Spencer said. "My whole million-dollar wardrobe -- I would never wear that again. They're props. Everything we were doing, we were buying props. I bought a big blue monster truck just to drive it on 'The Hills' for an episode. Never drove it again."
Heidi, understandably, wishes she could be like Kim Kardashian. "When [Kim] buys these clothes, she's investing in herself," Heidi said. "Because she is a big brand and is likeable. I thought I had that potential. My ego got too big. To think I could be someone like that when I was the most hated girl ever."
Heidi regrets all of her plastic surgery. "Obviously I wish I didn't do it," she said. "I would go back and not have any surgery. It doesn't help. I got too caught up in Hollywood, being so into myself and my image. I don't regret anything, but if I could go back, I wouldn't do it... I made a lot of wrong decisions too quickly. So many wrong rights and lefts and then you're just off the road. Things happened so quickly."
 Any thoughts!?!?

I don't know whether to think they are being sincere or just trying to gain admiration for an attempt at being humble & apologetic.
Then again, who cares?

Were you a Hills fan? Speidi fan?

the wedding is off

Yesterday I logged 4 miles!

Again, just focusing on the mileage, not the speed...because it definitely took me 2 episodes of FRIENDS.

It's always sad when a wedding is called off....no? Well I think it's sad...Matty normally cheers when there is one less wedding on the calendar.

Whatevs.

Alas though, Hugh is back on the market.

The wedding was called off. It was set for this Saturday...300 guests.

Poor Hef. I can't imagine having to deal with that mess.

Should have stuck with Holly....

celebrity fitness & health, monday

Yay, it's Monday. Time to do it all over again.

Beauty Riot posted a buttload of slideshows regarding celebrities, their health, their fitness choices, & weight loss journies.

Here are some celebrity transformations to motivate, encourage, or envy...

(images from BeautyRiot)

Jennifer Hudson - Weight Watchers, also a WW spokeswoman

Jessica Simpson - has taken up boxing as her form of exercise

Jordin Sparks

Kelly Osbourne - DWTS jump started her healthy journey

LeAnn Rimes

Nicole Richie

Renee Zellweger

Sara Rue - Jenny Craig, also a JC spokeswoman

Star Jones - gastric bypass surgery

Tyra Banks
More on the "celebrity diet secrets"...
Olivia Wilde credits martial arts in prepping for the movie 'Tron'...as well as cutting out alcohol & bread
Amy Adams credits pole dancing for losing her baby weight

Ginnifer Goodwin credits WW, which she says she's been a member of since age 9
Denise Richards credits food delivery services

Brooke Burke credits the Mediterranean Diet, treadmill running, and pilates

Any thoughts???

Don't take any of these methods as the "optimal way to lose weight". You have to do what is right & healthy for your body.

If you could, would you pick a personal chef or a personal trainer? You have to pick 1 & only 1 :)

addicted to change?

Monday's workout: 2.6 miles, focused on maintaining 8:45 min/mile; abs circuit

I have the worst pain in my hamstrings, that's radiating down to my calves. Luckily, today was going to be my "off day", as far as working out. I have a race Sunday, so I'd rather take it easy this week. So I'm rocking my CEP compression socks today! Woop woop!

Instead of working out today ~ I'm getting my hair done! YAY! This mop on my head is driving me bonkers. My hair grows like a weed, so maintaining a "style" means that I have to get it cut at least every 5 weeks. By the 6th week, it is uncontrollable. I'm WAY past the 6th week.

Regardless, after my last post & rounding up those pictures...I realized how frequently I change my hair. I think I'm addicted to change.

Not to be narcissistic...but here's how I've changed it over the past few years:

2006: long hair...

2007: chopped it off, donated it...& went blonde????

Apparently I wanted to be a blonde...

2008: Laid off the blonde coloring, went back to my roots, & opted for the "Posh" cut

2009: started the year off growing out the "Posh"...

then went way dark...

Then ended the year with a shorter do that was dark, but with blonde "under lights"??? (I'm not up on the terminology, but there were blonde streaks hidden throughout the bottom layers)

2010: ditched the dark, went lighter...& a little longer

but then went short again...

2011: i'm over my hair.

Ha, thanks for looking at "The Evolution of My Hair"...I'm open to suggestions!

I seriously love change. I think that's why I'm constantly changing my hair, my workouts, and wanting to always re-decorate things in our house.

Do you like change? Do you hate change?

Willow Smith likes change as well as whipping her hair back & forth....

And Jen just changed her hair...

Doesn't she look amazing for being 42???

So back to me & my narcissistic ways...I'm really excited to change up the do today! I've been LOVING the pixie cuts, but I'm way too nervous to take the plunge. I fear like I'd be mistaken for a boy from behind.

These ladies can pull of the cut though...

I love the convenience of short hair. And luckily, Matty prefers me with short hair versus long hair (unlike most men who ~ I feel like ~ favor long hair).

Well, I'm off to try & focus on my work day, rather than how I'm going to change up my hair :)
